Moritz started his career in the Oil & Gas industry. Working as an exploration geophysicist he learnt how business-critical decisions are based on data and data interpretation. Curious about the latest developments in data analysis, Moritz went to ETH Zurich and obtained a PhD in Geophysics. In his research, he focused on the data processing of seismic data and became an expert in time series analysis. Following his PhD, he started his career in finance as a consultant for data analytics and quickly came across Squirro, a data analytics platform. Moritz worked on numerous data analytics projects in various locations all around the globe (London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore) and experienced in various companies in Finance & Insurance how data analytics, data processing and machine learning techniques can be used to solve business problems. Moritz then joined Squirro as product manager to directly shape the data analytics product of Squirro. In 2020, Moritz came to Singapore to open up an office for Squirro and build a beachhead for bringing Squirro’s data analytics solution to the APAC region.
